- We look at the wood. We walk the fence, measure it, and check moisture. Oil-based stain needs wood under 13% moisture, so we tell you if it needs to dry first.
- We wash it if it needs it. Grey, dirty, or moldy wood gets washed and dries before stain. Stain over dirt does not last, so we do not skip this step.
