For me, it all started in 2017 when I stained my own fence. Before I knew it, neighbors were asking who did the job. Word got around, and I ended up staining fences all over the area, building a solid reputation right here in Duncan.
A local fence and deck builder hired me for Greenville-Spartanburg work. A couple of years later the owner moved and closed. I was out of work. That is when I started Superior Stain Solutions. We grew from fence and deck staining into interior and exterior painting.
I did not start this to push paint. I started it to build real connections and give people a staining and painting experience that is not a hassle.

I started learning to paint houses in 2006, helping my father when he got busy. Brushwork, drywall, staining, and the basics of a house from basement to roof.
After 2020 I installed fire suppression, then joined a remodel crew as the drywall, painter, and plumber they needed. Hurricane Helene hit the Upstate. I moved to help my uncle’s fence company in Spartanburg. That is how I met Adrian. Now I focus on clients here, and still jump on small renovations when it helps.
How we work
Policies in plain language.
- 12Month workmanship warranty. Manufacturer warranties on stains and paints can run up to 3 years. Ask if your project is covered.
- 7Days to request reasonable touch-ups after completion. After that, extra work may be billed.
- COIWe carry liability insurance. Certificate available on request.
- YouKeep pets and kids clear. Provide power and water. Tell us about hazards. Move anything blocking the fence.
FAQ
Does the online estimator match an in-person quote?
It uses the same equations we use on site, including a wash when the fence is aged or greyed. The number can change for a different stain brand, no electricity (about a $100 generator fee), no water for a wash, special requests, or location.
What does payment look like?
At least one week before the project date we collect a non-refundable materials deposit. When the job is done and you are satisfied, we charge the remaining balance. We take debit, credit, cash, check, Zelle, CashApp, PayPal, wire, and certain cryptocurrencies.
Do you work with commercial clients?
Yes. We have stained over 5,000 linear feet of fence for HOAs, developers, and commercial clients, including work for Ryan Homes, Indigo Pointe, and Reidville Town Center.
