Professional work, exceptional people, and fantastic customer service! They took a 4 yr fence that had mold and mildew in many areas and cleaned it first, then stained it a few days later. It came out lovely and we get so many compliments from neighbors!!

Superior Stain Solutions did a fabulous job including pressure washing our 2 covered porches days before applying the stain several days later. How a fence gets stained here
Most fence stain jobs fail on prep, not on the can. We do the boring parts so the color is still on the wood three summers from now.
We walk the fence, measure it, and check moisture. Oil-based stain needs wood under 13% moisture, so we tell you if it needs to dry first.
Grey, dirty, or moldy wood gets washed and dries before stain. Stain over dirt does not last, so we do not skip this step.
Penetrating stain, sprayed and back-brushed for even coverage with no drips or missed spots. The color you picked, the whole fence.
Why the meter matters
We stain with penetrating oil from Expert Stain and Seal and Sherwin-Williams. It soaks into the grain and weathers slowly instead of peeling in sheets. Oil wants dry wood, under 13% moisture, so we check with a meter at the estimate. If the boards read wet, we wait, and the quote does not change.

When that company closed, he launched Superior Stain Solutions in 2022. He still runs it from Duncan. Preston Jones manages projects and has been in the trades since 2006.
